JPJ is led by me, Jack. My background is in community organising and nature-based wellbeing, and I’ve spent the past few years helping turn green spaces into places of connection and recovery. I’ve managed both large government-funded programmes and small community-led initiatives, all focused on the same goal — improving wellbeing through time spent outdoors.
I’ve had the privilege of creating and running spaces like community gardens and therapy sites that support people’s mental health and bring communities closer together.
I have a diverse background, in Clinical Psychology, project management, operations management, community health creation, and Green Social Prescribing. My approach often draws upon my experience in all these areas to deliver meaningful and sustainable change. Within nature-based wellbeing initiatives I'm trained in and informed by the Nature Well approach, an evidence based method of embedding nature connection into wellbeing and therapeutic practices.
My approach is all about collaboration. The best outcomes come when people from different sectors pull in the same direction — whether that’s health, social care, or the environment. By working together, we can unlock the full potential of green health projects: improving lives, growing skills, building community, and restoring nature along the way.
For me, it’s those shared relationships that turn good ideas into lasting change.
I started JPJ because I realised that for green space projects to keep delivering meaningful change, they need more than just good intentions - they need to be managed well. Without ongoing support, spaces risk losing momentum, funding, and community connection. With the right management, however, they can continue to grow, maintain strong relationships, attract diverse funding, expand opportunities for health and wellbeing, and remain valued assets for local communities. My aim is to help ensure that these projects don’t just start well, but keep thriving in the long term.
